About This Issue:

This year's Living Space Studies theme was "Refreshing Rooms," and we visited attractive homes in Japan and Scandinavia. After the COVID-19 pandemic, residents reexamined what they needed and sometimes rearranged their lifestyles to acquire precious spaces. A refreshing, truly pleasant atmosphere flowed through these spaces. This time again, we were treated to a plethora of attractive living styles, including a ceramic artist's studio and second home, a book director's new base in Kyoto, and a creative director's 17th year of renovation. The stories of 16 couples who live free, comfortable, and pleasant lives.
